Beltane Fire and Feast

  • Wild Heart Hill Worthing, England, BN14 0RJ United Kingdom (map)

Join us for a fire and feast festival as we open our 2023 events calendar with a Beltane celebration at Wild Heart Hill.

Carved into the verdant slopes of the South Downs national park, Wild Heart Hill has witnessed celebrations of the summer’s return for hundreds - if not thousands - of years.

After the success of last year’s Beltane gathering, the Wellderness returns to these well-trodden hills, bringing its community together to embrace this ancient festival. And this year, we’re going bigger!

Building to our Beltane “bringing in the May” procession, we’ll welcome morris dancers, drummers, story tellers and a live folk band throughout the day. The procession will lead to a full troupe fire show from the Poi Passion crew, and then we’ll open the stage up for our community to show off their talents.

On top of all that, we’ll have crafts, a mobile bar and, as it’s the Wellderness, a campfire will sit at the heart of our gathering. And White Raven Ceremonies will be on site for hand fastings – a simple celebration of love and commitment.

Running from midday until 11pm, you’ll need to bring a picnic lunch and something for a community food share later in the day.

Please note camping at this event is now SOLD OUT

Last years tickets sold out in a flash, so don’t delay (but do only buy them from our Eventbrite page).

Adult General Admission - £20

Child General Admission (5 – 16 years) - £10

Child General Admission (under 5 years) - free

Mandatory car parking ticket (x1 ticket is required for each car on site) - £5

This year we’re charging £5 per car for parking at the event. All money raised through car parking will be put towards future tree planting as we look to offset unavoidable carbon emissions caused by people travelling to our events. As much as possible, we recommend our guests share cars, which helps reduce carbon emissions and controls the number of vehicles at the venue (plus, it means you share the car parking cost, so everyone wins!).
