Find wellbeing in the wilderness

Outside is where we’re at home.

It’s where we sow seeds and plant trees.

It’s where we drink tea.

And greet our community around the campfire.

They’re really friendly. Especially to nature.

It’s where we sit in ice baths in a secret field on a big hill.

Then we drink more tea (and eat hot stew).

We’ve done Tai Chi in the woods.

We forage for tasty goods. Also in the woods.

And we light the night canopy with fire shows to bring seasons to a close.

At home.

Outside, where we plant trees and sow seeds.

Improving people’s lives through nature, improving nature through people.

We’re the Wellderness. A non-profit, community interest company based in West Sussex.

We invite you into the outdoors to connect with our community and reconnect with nature.

When you’re there, you get to do things like ice baths and foraging, circus skills and tai chi. You can honour the seasons, delve into ancient festivals and celebrate all that nature has to offer. And you’ll get to plant trees. Loads of them.

Through all this, we’re creating a 1,000-year legacy for nature, while positively affecting the lives of 10 million people worldwide.

All from our little corner of West Sussex.

How can I get involved with the Wellderness?

Good question, thanks for asking!

Firstly, if you’re on social media, you can follow us on Facebook and Instagram. We also have a Facebook community group, where Wellderfolk share their stories, their knowledge and their photos of nature.

We shout about our events over here.

And, if you’re really into what we do - and have some time to spare - we’re always looking for new volunteers to add to our amazing community. Get in touch, we’d love to talk to you - volunteering@thewellderness.org.uk

Of course, you might want to learn a bit more about us first… and we’re more than happy to share!
